Last week at Kivandini, on a 50 acre farm harvesting cowpeas, was truly an unforgettable experience. The days were marked by the scorching sun, while the nights carried a deep chill, yet every moment was worthwhile. Beyond the farm work itself, I had the privilege of meeting new people, bonding with colleagues outside the usual work environment, and learning valuable life lessons from different individuals whose stories and perspectives challenged me deeply. There were moments of exhaustion when I felt like giving up, but the experience on the farm reminded me that nothing meaningful in life comes easily. Every task required patience, endurance, and determination. For me, this was more than just farm work; it became a personal retreat. From the day I arrived until the day of departure, I switched off my phone completely. In that silence away from social media, I found clarity, reconnected with myself, embraced nature, strengthened relationships with people around me, and most importantly, heard from God. It genuinely felt like I had started living again. The experience restored a deeper sense of discipline and peace within me. Special thanks for this wonderful opportunity courtesy of Archbishop Henry Mulandi and Rev. Betty, in collaboration with Rev. Paul, Pastor Irene, and the ACMI Organization. I am truly grateful and looking forward to more experiences like this.
