Drilling
March 2007 saw the arrival of a drilling rig in the ministry and drilling kicked off immediately. Through this department, and in a fraternal relationship with Drilling for Life (DFL) which is a US-based charitable Christian ministry, we drill wells in communities experiencing water shortage and for individuals in need of drilling services. Through this project, communities are finding a reason to smile, and lives are being changed and restored. We not only provide water, but also the gospel of salvation.
Operation Hope
Children Ministry (Operation Hope) is a ministry geared towards helping children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS, to acquire education. This is done by finding sponsors who are willing to support these children financially with at least Kshs. 2,000 per month to give them hope for a brighter future. The program officers also visit abandoned babies in hospitals, and feeds children from poor families living in the slums as well as giving assistance to the needy families of the children under the program.

The base situated next to Kakuma refugee camp, offers certificate and diploma courses in leadership and discipleship. Other activities in the base include missions training, children ministry, evangelism and food distribution. Ephraim Children’s Ministry, which operates within the Kakuma base, feeds the Turkana children of the arid Northern Kenya and plans are under way to develop an orphanage in a plot in Kakuma to provide food, a home, education and spiritual nourishment to these children.
Carvings & Curios
A.C.M.I. runs a curio shop from which fine pieces of carvings of most of wild animals and souvenirs such as Maasai regalia, kiondos, key holders among others, are sold at fair rates.
The work that goes on in this department is just tremendous. I used to buy African carvings
and crafts from an open market in the capital city of Kenya. But with this new ministry operating right under my nose, I don’t think I will need to travel far to find something that’s as beauti
ful. Visit the ACMI base in Thika to see for yourself.
The prices of the items vary depending on the size of each. Please contact us by emailing acm@missionsafrica.org for specific item prices.
